Volunteer Days

I find it very useful to have a green space in the city that I can come after my 9 to 5 job and I can work out in a nature like setting and learn about how to be sustainable and organic
— Sam, Volunteer

Our volunteers days are open to all ages to learn and participate in educational activities such as backyard composting; propagation and seed saving; planting and maintaining vegetables, herbs, and flowers; harvesting; and greenhouse work. Prior gardening and farming experience is not required! We will teach you everything you need to know.

Regular volunteer days are hosted Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 - 5:30 PM (sunset) and Saturdays from 10 AM-12 PM. To reserve a spot, please email us at team@garden2tablesv.org.

What should you bring for a volunteer day?

We highly recommend the following things:

  • Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty

  • Wear closed-toed shoes (the farm is covered in mulch/ an uneven surface)

  • A hat and sunscreen! Please check the weather forecast ahead of time.

  • A filled water bottle

We highly encourage you to bring a reuseable bag or basket in order to take harvest and take home all the in season fruits and vegetables. All the produce at the farm is grown by our volunteers and for our volunteers.

Note: we do have a porta-potty on site.

If this is your first time visiting the farm, please fill out the participation waiver below. You will only need to complete this form once. We will ask you to sign in upon arrival each time you return to the farm.
