ABC’s of Farming

It’s wonderful quality family time for us, and we have learned so much together.
I know the class was meant for kids, but I enjoyed being right there next to my son taking notes!

ABC, easy as 123! This parent participation program will provide weekly hands-on garden education to help young children (ages 4-10) nourish their curiosity, improve cooperative learning and listening skills, enhance their senses, become stewards of the environment, eat more fruits and vegetables, and increase physical activity. Lesson examples include:

  • wiggly worms

  • sensible seeds

  • up down all around (plant part/needs)

  • garden in balance (pollinators, pests, and predators)

  • keep on growing

  • harvest time

A donation of $50 per student is greatly appreciated to keep programs like these running.
